I've always hated using Blogger's built in post editor...putting in pictures, changing fonts - very annoying and not always correct. So, I went looking for a replacement program and have been using one called, "Windows Live Writer". It is actually pretty sweet because not only does it have a spell checker, you have the ability to write your blogs "offline". So, you can be on an airplane, traveling in the outback or just kicking it at home offline and creating your blogs. You will see exactly how it looks as you type (and can choose to view it how it looks in a web page as well)...it is also very fast and easy to upload your finished post or pull it back to make changes. Plus, you can save your posts as drafts if you want.
I've only found a couple quirks with it, but after looking at the HTML code behind it I'm sold that it is the one I'm going to use from now on. Usually Microsoft products have horrible code behind them, but his code is VERY clean. So, go download it and see what you think (if you hate Blogger's way of doing it that is).

I might have to try it, but I do all of that on blogger so far. Drafts, spell check, see how it looks while I do it... Maybe you need to be better skilled at blogger?!? ha!
ha! that's pretty funny...
yeah, i know blogger does most of that (not offline stuff), but it is hard to explain unless you try it out...it is like typing your blog in word vs into a web page that is slow and sucks most of the time...plus (and I'm sure this is mostly just me) i go into the HTML code a lot and Live Writer is clean and easy to work with where blogger is HORRIBLE!
i just have hated hated hated blogger's post editor so much and couldn't wait to find something else after it refused to allow me to do certain things without jumping through hoops...
maybe it is just me and my lack of patience ;-)
oh, one thing i know you'd like is you can tell it to open links from your posts in a new window...
